Dr. Wayne W. Williams joined the Federation of Tax Administrators in January 2024 as its 2024 Tax Research and Policy Fellow.

Wayne is currently an associate professor of accounting at Temple University in the Fox School of Business and teaches undergraduate and graduate coursework in accounting and taxation. He worked in several roles as an accounting and tax professional, financial advisor, and administrative leader in private industry and government prior to joining academia.

Wayne remains a contributor to regional economic development and policy formation supporting business growth and tax equity. He served as a mayoral appointee to Tax Policy Reform in 2009 and again in 2021, and is currently a member of the Philadelphia Department of Revenue Commissioner’s Tax Advisory Committee. He is a media resource and educational speaker to many organizations sharing his knowledge and research related to financial and tax planning issues for individuals and businesses.

Wayne earned his Doctor of Education in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Master of Science in Taxation and Financial Planning from Widener University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Temple University. He is also an IRS enrolled agent and Certified Financial Planner™.
