New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration Commissioner Lindsey Stepp began her tenure in 2017 and is currently serving her third term as the head of the agency.
Responsible for the overall administration of state tax revenues nearing $3 billion annually, she is committed to increasing efficiency and transparency for all taxpayers, stakeholders, and legislators. By enhancing communications, setting clear and measurable goals, and improving agency technology, Commissioner Stepp consistently demonstrates her commitment to advancing the success of the agency.
Dedicated to exemplary customer service to taxpayers and representatives, Stepp guided the implementation of a modernized tax management system to replace the 30-year-old legacy system used by the agency, and ensured the customer-centric redesign of the external website to respond to growing constituent needs.
Stepp received her Master of Business Administration degree from Plymouth State University, after receiving her B.S. in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
Stepp began her career at Ernst & Young LLP as an international tax and transfer pricing consultant, was previously employed at the NH Department of Revenue Administration as a financial analyst, and later served as director of business services for the Information Technology Services Department at Plymouth State University.
