Kendra Smith

Kendra Smith has joined the Federation of Tax Administrators in March 2026 as executive liaison, communications, and stakeholder manager. In this role, Kendra supports executive leadership, oversees communication efforts, and fosters engagement with key stakeholders across member jurisdictions and partner organizations.

Kendra previously served at the Montana Department of Transportation, where she worked in revenue administration with a specialization in excise tax. Her background spans tax policy analysis, legislative coordination, stakeholder outreach, and program administration. She played an active role in Montana’s legislative sessions, collaborating closely with policymakers and partners on transportation funding and motor fuel taxation issues.

Kendra holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Montana. She brings a strong foundation in cross-functional collaboration, strategic communications, and relationship management, with a consistent commitment to transparency.

Outside of work, Kendra and her husband, Ryan, are the proud parents of two sons, Kellan and Declan.
